Why new hand sign?

Anyone notice that this year g phi has a new hand sign? When I was in g phi literally last year this wasn’t the sign lol. The gamma is normal, where did this random stop sign hand come from???

I swear to god every 3 years they try to reinvent the hand signs. Because at some point it became super cool to have them and they never traditionally had one because well…there’s no good ones for them.
The classics are of course the XO for chiO and DGs gamma or tri delts delta. They’re timeless.

it's because the circle hand sign feels kinda awkward to do but i think it'd be cute if we did it like the hand sideways with the fingers side like the crescent with the lines, feels less painful on the wrist

Because their letters are awkward and they only have one symbol.
