kkg, aphi, dg

by: Super 3

Nationally, these 3 are the strongest/best houses overall and are USUALLY top or mid-tier at most schools.

PIPHI, THETA, are strong but not top or mid-tier as often across the country as the Super 3.

CHIO, DDD, ZETA, GPB are strong but top less often than the above.

AXO, KD, ADPi, AGD are top only on occasion and are slightly more regional.

AXD is never top and not nearly in the same catagory as the above.

PHIMU, AEPHI, SDT, DPE, AOPI are even weaker than AXD.

SSS, PSS, ASA, TPA are just totally unknown, generally speaking.

Did I forget any??

This isn't bad but I wouldn't throw in alpha phi until at least the third row, definitely not top three. They have a pretty good national presence but theta for example is definitely bigger, alpha phi doesn't even crack the top 10 for number of members and is like 9th for number of chapters. Like not trying to hate or anything but you never see them listed top three nationally.

And Chi o is way above gphi, maybe pi phi too

I guess in my opinion you can't not have a single top house in the entire southeast, a major region of Greek life, and still be considered top three. I'm sure if you're from somewhere like the northeast alpha phi would seem like top three but you should have a stronghold all across the country and aphi does not.

They do have top houses in the Southeast, they're just not a dominant house down here...but to be fair most of the "top" houses in the south aren't top anywhere else (esp. KD). Pi Phi isn't really top at many schools in the Southeast either but they are top nationally.

lol @ GPhi having a bunch of mediocre chapters you've lost your mind. Maybe here but nah they're fine where there are. The chapter here (as well as their southern chapters) can learn a lesson from their other chapters that's for sure.

National standing is nice, but when you're in college it really doesn't matter.

Well APhi and DG are bottom tier here, and KKG just took a majority sketch pledge class, so goes to show you that your ranks don't mean much here!

The OP is obviously in one of these three houses and is trying to validate her membership by saying that XYZ house has the strongest nationals. I'll give you Kappa because they are strong. But DG and APHI? DG is spotty across the country. Top chapters are closing due to big scandals... Look at what just happened at UConn. And APHI? I'm sorry but APHI is the only sorority with a national reputation... All their top chapters are known for being "hot" and literally nothing else.

TRUTH IS Theta has extremely strong nationals. Top chapters across the country. XO has strong nationals, currently with the most undergraduate members in the country. And DDD is also very strong.

KD and ADPi are certainly much stronger than AXO and all three of those are much stronger than AGD. I think it's unfair to lump those 4 in together.

Are you talking about Canada? Because if you're going "strongest nationals," you are a fool to leave Theta and Tri-Delta out. A Phi top Nationals? Not in the US of A, son!

Historically, A Phi didn't become "popular" until the recruitment video out of Florida (or was it Miami?) a few years ago. They exploded in popularity after that. But strong nationally? No. And not just in a historical context, in a present day context as well.

Kappa, Theta, Pi Phi, Chi O, and Tri-Delta have the best national rep, followed very closely by DG, Zeta, and KD. You could even include DG and Zeta with the other 5. Everyone else hits below that. That's not saying they have a terrible national office or rep though.

And yes, you forgot 3
Alpha Sigma Tau
Sigma Kappa
Delta Zeta

APHI is a top sorority in the west, Pacific Northwest, Midwest and East Coast. Their chapter at University of Texas is strong as is Texas Tech, and North Texas. They are doing quite well in their colonies/newer chapters in the southeast. And this isn't because of some "exploding video". It's "historically" true. First sorority at MIT, and in as many Ivy League as Kappa, theta, and Pi Phi. You literally have no idea what you are talking about. KD outside the south? Give me a break
