Quota vs Average (PLEASE READ)

I keep seeing people saying houses hit their quota, and that they won't do COB (ex. quota is 41, piphi hit the quota). THIS IS WRONG!!
Let's say that the quota for each house to hit is 41. If a house doesn't hit the quota, they then hand out SNAP BIDS to hit the quota (these are bids handed out on bid day to girls who dropped or didn't get a bid)
However, just because a house hits quota doesn't mean that they won't do COB. COB is determined by the AVERAGE NUMBER of girls. So let's say quota is still 41, and piphi took 41. If all the other sororities took an average of 50 girls, then piphi can do COB to hit that average number, but they don't have to.
In conclusion: Just because a house hit quota doesn't mean they won't do COB, so all the girlies out there who are doing COB, have hope!

this too! it's not the end of the world and there are plenty of other opportunities to meet people.
at the end of the day, greek life may only matter for the next 3/4 years. after that, everyone is off to the real world where superficial greek organizations will not matter whatsoever.
grow your intellect and skills, leave this behind, and work on yourself! I promise that matters more.
