It depends on what Panhellenic sets Chapter Total at after bid day. Sororities that are under that number can COB up to Total, if they decide they want to. If you are in recruitment right now and have options left then go to pref. If, after pref, there is a house (or both) that you are 100% positive that you would never ever give at least a shot under any circumstances, then don't list them on your card. Pref can often be an eye opening experience, in a good way, for pnm's who are down about the choices they have left. But don't drop before pref and hope for better with a COB, it's not a great strategy. If you are not going through recruitment now, register with panhellenic for the COB list and get to know members in sororities; it's really hard to get one of the Open Bids without being known by some members. Last spring both ADPi and AOPi gave out the most COB's and they are the ones most likely to also COB in fall.

People are downvoting because the chapters are in the middle of RECRUITMENT. they've spent 2 weeks of blood sweat and tears to welcome new members in this crazy process and can't even think about COB yet. it's rude to be invited into someone's HOME and then all along be like, 'is there another way i can sneak into the neighbor's house that I like better in the back door' Like go panhellenic or don't go at all.

the sorority you are being asked to join are the same ones that COB so stay in it

ADPi is at total. So unlike in the past, they will not be doing COB. Things are changing on the row.
