Ranking Confusion

Just not the same here as other schools but I bet the girls ending up in those sororities you listed love where they are because it’s where they felt they fit in no matter if it’s not top tier sorority at TCU or not. You should look for the same when you rush and look for what’s important to you. Are you looking for a top tier sorority? Or are you looking to meet new girls from all over the US? Or are you looking for comfort of people you already know? Maybe you will be lucky and find all those things on one even if the people you know did not.

Go with whichever organization YOU feel most comfortable around. Go through recruitment truly with an open mind and list your preferences based on what YOU feel is the best fit for YOU.

Yes. TCU has changed dramatically since the onslaught of west coast and now east coast students. The top southern sororities are tri delt, KKG and Chi o. Top southern frats are SAE and Kappa sig. The rankings you see on here are nonsense from Californians etc. Basically there are 2 different social circles within the same Greek system. It’s sad what’s become of TCU. If you want a real southern Greek experience go to an SEC school.

tri delt and kappa and chi o have always been considered the top houses. They are just the classic prestigious houses but they get hated on tons because you will not get a bid if u 1) dont have connects and 2)arent from texas- Great house with great girls just get hated on from the Cali girls

If you are cute and sweet and fun then that's how everyone will see you and you will be a TOP girl. If you aren't like that then they will see you that way. A set of letters will not make up for your deficits, or drag you down if you're a TOP girl. There are actually all kinds in all houses. Your sorority is not an automatic seal of approval or a mark of doom, it doesn't work that way IRL on campus. This site is not how it actually is and NOBODY EVER GOES "Wow, here comes an XYZ, omg!!!" LOL sorry you will still be whatever you are. Only high schoolers, freshmen, and 1st semester sophs care about ranks, after that everyone is over it and has a friend group among different houses.
