rec letters
by: ??The Panhellenic website says that letters of recommendation aren’t required for recruitment but do they actually help with the recruitment process? And if I know someone that can write me a letter should I have them do it or would is be a waste of time?

It isn't as important here as at other schools. The good thing about a rec letter is that the house will usually invite you back to a second round as a courtesy to the alum. It gives you a second chance to meet more girls in a house. Its never a bad thing to have someone say good things about you. If you know someone who wants to write you a letter do it, but I wouldn't worry if you dont have one for every house.

It depends on the sorority. Check their websites. Most have an area that tells you how and where to send recs to the chapter.

Does it have to be from an alum? Or can it be from a friend in that chapter at another school?
