All the ranks are fake. The rankings are just self ranks that are done by the most desperate frats and srats. They do this for recruiting.

Realistically 80-90% of time you spend in a fraternity will be with your brothers and not at a party. Finding a group of guys you actually like matters way more than who they mix with and their social standing.
