I go to Bama, one cuz here and one at GT
by: DangDang Greek life here is weird and sucks A LOT... I am a Sigma Nu at bama and my cousin is a DKE here.... Needless to say that my cousin is bored 24/7 and because he is a DKE, he can not transfer anywhere (other than Bama thankfully) and be in a good frat. Too bad no one goes to school for Greek life (obviously not) but let's be honest why would anyone rush here? There is nothing beneficial for it and even though NC Is technically southern, it is pretty much a north eastern school. No good fraternities are top and those who are never do anything. My cousin thankfully is getting a good job but WTF, he had ZERO fun here. Why can't UNC actually have a good Greek scene? Will good national names like SX KA KS Fiji ATO Pike PiKalo ever make this place good?

I got initiated into a top 2 or 3 ranked frat here 2 years ago and now I don't even show up to chapter. We never do anything here, most other school actually have big parties or massive joint socials but not here. My grades are good and I love my brothers but it's boring AF and school is stressful here so having more social events here would really help a lot of our mental health.

I transferred to GT when I decided to switch to being a chemical engineering major and I can say with 100% certainty that I am in a much better school and my fraternity that isn't even top at tech has much bigger and better events than the best or 2 best frats here. This school is just boring and there is no enthusiasm for Greek activities here. A 2nd or 3rd tier school in GA is comparable to the Greek life at UNC and I'm not even from GA I'm from VA.

Our Cuz at GT is also a SNu and they are 5 times more fun than DKE here. Why is DKE considered top if they do nothing? Sorry ahh Greek scene... Smh.
