Non-Sorority Social Life at SMU

Been at SMU for a few years now and I wish I knew how segregated the school was between Greek and non-Greek before I committed. Never had any plans to rush, but after first semester sophomore year I realized it's like a different school when you're in a sorority vs when you're not. People make fun of sororities for "buying your friends" but I wish I did because it feels so lonely here when you're not in one. Wondering if anyone feels the same way or if I'm overhyping the sorority experience in my head.
