Stetson University is a small private school in DeLand, Florida, and its Greek system reflects that intimate campus feel. The undergraduate population is on the smaller side, so the Greek community here is tighter-knit than what you'd find at a big state school. That said, it's a real presence on campus and plays a meaningful role in social life for a solid chunk of students.

On the fraternity side, IFC oversees chapters including Delta Sigma Phi, Phi Sigma Kappa, Pi Kappa Alpha, Pi Kappa Phi, Sigma Nu, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Alpha Tau Omega, and Lambda Chi Alpha. Panhellenic covers the sororities, which include Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Pi Beta Phi, Zeta Tau Alpha, and Sigma Gamma Rho, the latter of which is also affiliated with NPHC. So there's both IFC and Panhellenic structure in place, with NPHC representation as well.

Recruitment happens in the fall and generally follows a pretty standard format — informal events, meet-and-greets, and formal bid days for sororities. Because the school is small, the process feels more personal than overwhelming. You're not walking into a stadium-sized event. You'll actually get to talk to people and get a real read on each chapter.

Stetson doesn't have a traditional Greek row in the way larger universities do. Most chapters don't have standalone houses — social events tend to happen in on-campus chapter spaces or off-campus venues around DeLand. The city itself is a smaller college town with a historic downtown, so that shapes where Greek life actually happens.

Philanthropy is a consistent part of how chapters operate here. Most organizations run annual fundraising events tied to their national philanthropies, and those events are generally open to the broader campus. It's one of the more visible ways Greek life intersects with the rest of the student body. Overall, Greek life at Stetson isn't the only social scene on campus, but for students who get involved, it tends to be a big part of their college experience.
