Pi Beta Phi - ΠΒΦ Sorority Ratings at SU

When I think piphi I think mostly nice girls who didn’t get into kappa or theta but also a few who have a fascination with why they didn’t and with explaining that they are actually in a sorority that’s just as good. That manifests itself with insecure sisters like the one who came on the discussion board with “pi phi’s new pc is insane” boasting they got a billionaires child and other “really good girls”. They may as well have said “best in breed”. i wish they would put that energy into building an inclusive environment.

So here’s the thing I noticed that was proven last year. These are girls who didn’t make kappa / theta and think they are too good for other houses. The reason you know for fact is Bc they snapped all the girls that dropped Bc they the houses that wanted them weren’t up to their social standing standards. This really happened last year. Which is why they have a problematic 24 pc

Their new PC is not very nice and they did not have a great recruitment fall of 2021 by snap bidding like 10 girls after not making quota. I’ve heard from older girls that their new class is problematic. They older classes are great but for newer members they would be with the PC of 2021. I hope they get back on track.

This is still a great great great house. Please don’t focus so much on fall rush bc it was just a weird situation. This is a house full of smart, classy, supportive girls who like to spend time together.

Historically good but today kinda resting on its past image. 24 has some girls who are weird or mean or both.

Honestly don’t know where they are headed. They snapped up a ton of girls who didn’t get bids. Could work out but it’s a question mark

When I got here it was a house we always wanted to mix with. But lately it’s just ok. My roommates gf got dropped from rush and then got a bid from them anyway. She was psyched but it’s a ? thay they’ve fallen off like that.

Nice group though a bit cliquey. Like kinda weird mix like half international girls and half southern girls.

This house has some really nice girls but they try so hard to be “top tier” comparing themselves to kappa and theta all the time. If they would just stop worrying about their image. It’s not all just about athletes. Embrace the strengths - having so many international girls is a huge benefit for cultural exposure. And fwiw there are several rowers in the recent class.

After fall rush I’d say this is def an amazing group for wealthy international girls. They seem to really target them. The other half was a mixed bag because they had to scramble on bid day to fill up by giving out “snap” bids to girls they had previously dropped in rounds 1 and 2 (and did not end up getting a bid elsewhere). So not sure how well they all gel
