Y’all posting on here are pathetic and are giving UTK pan a bad name. All the chapters are filled with wonderful women who should be applauded for their hard work, not torn down.

PARENTS, stop complaining that your girl who ticked all the boxes and is practically perfect in every way was released from some chapters and got her feelings hurt. It's time for all of you to grow up and not blame 'the system' that doesn't work like a high school sign up sheet. EVERY PNM is gorgeous, EVERY PNM has good grades, EVERY PNM has high school accomplishments. This is a different pool your girl is swimming in and also not your old life. Sororities are choosing their memberships, not the other way around. Sororities always choose their high school and home town friends first, as is their right. They are going to choose the girls they already know every time over the ones they don't. They are private social clubs and they can choose as they wish. Your girl is disappointed but it's not the fault of 'the system' and it's not her fault either, it's no one's fault it's just life. When your girl enters the job market and ticks all the boxes but doesn't get that job she wants, what site are you going on to complain about 'the system'? What about that perfect guy she wants but doesn't get? Is 'the system' to blame? Grow up, all of you.

Sounds like you have some growing up to do as well. The work place is about diversity, not a good ole boy system where you hire all your best friends regardless whether or not they are the best candidate for the job. College is the time to start branching out of that little hometown bubble. A lot of great houses at UTK have already figured that out so don't preach that all houses pick hometown and best friends. That is precisely why some houses are a major turn off to PNMs.

Your pnm daughter didn't want to be "branching out" now did she, and was upset when she didn't get invited back to every house she wanted. But that didn't work out just her way and that is the only reason you are on here complaining. If your pnm daughter had got exactly what she wanted then you wouldn't be posting on greekrank.
