How hard is it to get a bid?

I have zero connections and am out of state. I heard you can’t get a bid from Pi Phi/DG without connections, is that true? The only girl I know in a sorority at Boulder is an Aphi and she kind of bullied my friends so I don’t know if I’d fit in with those girls. Some people have already gotten dms and I haven’t heard from anyone. I really like gphi, axo, pi phi, and dgs philanthropies and vibe but it’s feeling like I won’t even have a shot. I’m open to all of them and am excited to rush but would it be a waste of time?
