How cooked am I if I re rush next year
by: nextyearuncOkay so long story short, I decided to rush for the first time as a sophomore but withdrew due to a variety of complications with finance issue. Should I even bother to rush again next year as someone who wants to be involved in greek life? (my parents were in greek life if that's any helpful additional info)

I'm sorry but no sorority is going to bid a junior during formal recruitment. Didn't you discuss this with your Pi Chi?
Your best chance to join, IF your financial situation changes, is an open bid during COB to one of the sororities still below Total. You would need to register with panhellenic for a COB and would really only have a chance at chapters where you have friends. So connect with members in SSS, SK, KKG, AXD, KAT, GPB because those are the ones that usually COB. They do start fall COB right after bid day but you could try for a spring bid when they have vacancies from December graduations.
Your parents having been in Greek life will not help you out.

Club involvement and leadership could help you meet members also. Depends who's in what. Good luck.

I think so? But my major is 5 years so I can technically still be a sophomore despite my classification being a junior, which I would explain in my application and ask my LOR's to explain my situation as well. I was thinking about asking the Greek Panhellenic about this but don't really know how to approach it...

I did talk with my pi chi and she said that I can try again but honestly there's more to community in Auburn than Greek life, so I'll just join clubs and be involved. But I may try again just to see if it goes anywhere and if it doesn't then oh well its not the end of the world lol.
