Adice for rush (PLS HELP)!!
by: AnonymousI'm registering to rush today and realized I need to submit my resume. Is the resume supposed to be a social resume or a formal one? Does it matter? What do houses prefer?

Can be anything/everything you did in high school. Some of your info will be used to pair you with actives at parties with things in common so you have good conversation starters, other info shows that you can remain active and involved and still keep up your grades, and your best stuff will hopefully be impressive.
Academics, honors, leadership, sports, music/theatre, extracurriculars, volunteer work, hobbies, pageants. As long as it's really real and you were actually into it, not just this and that to fill space. Impress us - who ARE you and what are you like, what do you have to OFFER a chapter?
What you are calling a 'social resume' is just the main highlights to give your rec writers so they have the main points to fill out their rec forms.
