social life of sigep?
by: broim rushing in the fall and really like the fact that they focus on academics but still want to have fun at tailgates and parties. Will they still have them or no? I know they get a lot of hate on here but was curious about the actual social life for them

SigEp has a mission to better the world through better men - Balanced Men. Essentially, we're trying to create a different fraternity that differs from the normal frat that we see. We differ from the stereotype of being "fratty." We want to create something in our own legacy that leaves an impact on our campus and nationwide.

Honestly this shouldn't change much about SigEp.
The purpose of a SigEp chapter is to find men who share the Fraternity’s principles and to develop them into Balanced Men who will be the next generation of values-based leaders. Drinking in the chapter facility really plays no role in that mission, and frankly, data from higher education researchers shows that it actively works against a chapter's ability to do so.

Do any of you actually know any sigeps? Have you met any? Cause if you had you would know none of them would post any of this stuff on here. It's pathetic and desperate. They're fun normal guys who sororities like when they meet them. All these posts quoting national policy are either GDI's or desperate guys who have nothing else better to do with their times. Go get a life and worry about your own fraternities

The Sig Ep man is a renaissance man. He is internally motivated to succeed both professionally and academically. He maintains high standards for himself and his brothers in all aspects of his life. Success-driven, cultured, charismatic, generous, and athletic are just a few words we can use to describe such an individual. A primary goal of the recruitment committee is to market to and recruit the highest quality individuals to lead the campus community.

Fraternities are often afraid to reveal that they have a problem with alcohol, although everyone knows it anyway. But we've seen important benefits from focusing on the problem and taking a tough stand. Recruitment interest has increased, new member quality is up, and more brothers are participating in activities like drama, music, and yoga.

Our fraternity men seem to have the idea that they can’t have fun without alcohol. This needs to change.
