Many of you are, especially if you're on this site, are going to have houses in the back of your mind that you want a bid from. When you open your bid card I truly hope all of you are happy with the house you receive, but I know that's not always the case.
My biggest advice for rush is this: keep an open mind. Even if your bid isn't from your #1 choice or you're disappointed with what your got, get on the bus, go to the house for bid day, and try it out. At UF, you can rush again next fall as long as you don't get initiated into the house, which normally happens a few weeks to a month after bid day for most houses, so you'll have time to try out the house and meet some girls before you decide if you want to stay. The girls that gave you a bid are excited to have you on their lawn, so give it a chance and you may end up finding that this house that you didn't want is filled with potential best friends.
Good luck to all of you during recruitment!!!
