legacies?

by: PNM

I know it really doesn't mean much to be a legacy, but how common is it for current members to have other family members that were previously involved with their sorority (even at other schools) in the past? Particularly curious if this is a common or uncommon thing with ZTA and DDD. Also, when going through recruitment can being a legacy hurt your chances elsewhere? Sorry if I worded any of this wrong!

Won't hurt your chances elsewhere but they will now if you were a legacy from UF

I know that some chapters give legacies an automatic invite back to second round but not after that. In addition, some put legacies at the top of the bid list after prefs meaning those legacies will get bids if they make it to prefs.

Aside from that, it won't help or hurt you if you are a legacy.

it varies house to house, some have to keep you to round 2 or beyond, some are only required to bid you if you make it to prefs. there is more weight added if you are a legacy from uf, but you won't know the exact way that legacies work chapter to chapter
