Predictions for the future of sigep? Do you think they will start at the bottom or mid-tier? Have the 40 or so brothers done anything so far

Agreed with poster above. Won't really amount to much for a while.

They are starting a social calendar in the fall but they won't have their house until Fall 2017 because of renovations

Renovations pushed back because alumni don't like Balance Man or dry house so didn't donate enough money.

True. It's on their website.

"that means we must raise $730,000 more than we currently have in pledges and “hard” dollars before the architecture’s deadline of July 1, 2016.
This deadline is the latest we can wait to make the decision and complete the renovation for the house in time for the new brothers to occupy it in August 2017."

Things that can have a negative impact on recolonization include: undergraduates, who are still on campus, disrupting the process; and alumni holding on to the past.

On their website you can see they received 250 applications as of 3/14 and they've only selected 40 so they must have a decent selection of guys who aren't complete goobers.. The thing is though it looks like they're trying to keep the GPA around a 3.7 so obviously they'll miss out on a lot of great guys if that's the factor they're primarily looking at...

tldr; sipep nobody gives af about your average gpa

The balance man scholarship money is the free money. Not all of the applicants want to join Sig Ep or even a fraternity. You can even take the money and join another fraternity.

So many rumors on this page that aren't true... "Alumni don't like Balanced Man Program": Balanced man program is a national effort from sigep not something exclusive to the UF chapter.

The recolonization committee will provide the alumni membership will all the recolonization information it has at its disposal in order to ensure that misconceptions are minimized. As was stated above, all Sig Ep chapters are now required to operate using the Balanced Man Program. The Balanced Man Program is misunderstood by nearly all of the chapter alumni it seems. Sig Ep HQ will be presenting a BMP training webinar for our alumni. The purpose of the webinar will be to explain the BMP and to answer any and all questions about the program.

Every Sigep chapter in the state is going through the same thing. I think balanced man has ruined them.

Some the SigEx groups in FL are even bigger than the official chapters.
