Yes! It’s a great introduction to the sorority!

Doesn’t guarantee a bid but it does help them get to know you!

It definitely doesn't hurt! I know for some sororities you need to have a letter of recommendation or reference to get a bid (which makes it easier on the sisters because if one hasn't already been written for you then someone who talked to you during the rounds is gonna have to write it).

Also please lose the idea that being in a "top" sorority matters at all. People (shallow boys) might care about rank while you're an underclassman but once you hit junior year that feeling of superiority just kinda goes away because it's completely made-up. All the posts on here ranking six or eight sororities and then saying "the rest don't matter" are annoying as hell and just build up to disappointment if a girl doesn't end up with a bid to one of them.

Sorority girls judge guys on tier way more than guys judge girls. Any age

I don’t really care about tier. Everyone said they’re near impossible to get a bid from but I wasn’t sure if rec letters were important for other ones too! Thanks for the answers!

I wasnt talking about frats and whether girls judge guys based on tier, I was talking about sororities. You'll often find girls on bid day in TEARS because the sorority they got into wasn't "top tier" and while that sounds vapid it's only proliferated by this stupid idea that you only matter if you're in A, B, or C sorority. Recruitment is hard enough on girls and making them feel like they don't matter because they weren't a good fit for certain sororities only makes it worse.

Tbh from what I’ve seen all the sororities are great and I’m not sure why people are so hung up with the popularity contest
