how much do connections matter for sororitys
by: freshman!!!how much are you disadvantaged if you don't know any upper classmen in a sorority from your high school or something. a lot of girls I know had connections but I don't, will that matter much as long as I still try to meet people and go to events they have?

It helps but not really since every sorority does recruitment differently and just because someone might have a friend doesn't mean they get in. However, for sororities like DG it would be an advantage since they mostly recruit friend groups and people from their home towns. I'm in a "top tier" sorority though and my two other sororities at pref were too and I did not know a single girl in greek life. Just be yourself and know how to talk to people and you'll be fine.
