SX posts and other weirdos
by: iced-outI can always tell when one frat is making a whole post and spamming opinions on this site and I assume yall can too. I see these posts like "this frat doesn't own their house they rent so sigma chi is better cuz they own" since when did a girl skip a tailgate because a frat rents instead of owns their tailgate house? Who gives af except for the guys who just dropped all of their dues on a down payment for a house that will never see any action for the next decade... yall are strange

You’re too intellectually challenged to understand owning a property provides your fraternity long-term stability. I’m not a SX, but what’s gonna happen if DX, OX or even Beta get suspended for a year or two? What about SAE? Their property owners kick them out and they have no where to go.
So, saying it doesn’t matter is short-sighted. The unknown of where they will be if/when the owners ‘return’ is a problem. You want to see your fraternity’s reputation and membership drop 50% in one year- that happens when you lose the house you don’t own.
Owning a nice house matters- see Pike, KA, KS, SigEp, Fiji, etc.

Unfortunately as someone in a chapter that is in a renter situation, I’m just happy to be in the chapter during a time when we have a nice house. If they actually make it happen that’ll be huge for them, hopefully we can do the same soon.
