cob as a legacy
by: ReadyOkay so over the summer I didn't sign up for recruitment not because I didn't like the idea of Greek life, but I didn't care enough to go through the process of registering and getting rec letters because I saw the hassle my sister who goes to another university in the SEC went through the year before. After going through a semester of college and making friends with girls in sororities and going to socials with them, I think I want to join a sorority and I'm a legacy to my sister's and mom's sororities which are KD and DG. Does this give me an edge or a shoe in? I have a 4.0 MU GPA and am decently involved on campus, I'm pretty not drop dead gorgeous, but I'd say I'm attractive, and I'm super nice and love going out and making new friends if that helps lol? What are my chances with Kappa Delta and Delta Gamma?

For starters they would need to be doing informal recruitment, which as of right now (according to the Greeklife website) only phi mu is. Do you already know people in those houses? That's a big part of it. But if they do informally recruit you could try, I would say your grades and legacy status help

Whether you sign up for informal or go through formal next fall, be sure not to tell people you were just too lazy to do formal in 2015. No house wants someone who isn't committed or who isn't willing to put forth a little effort. Honestly, that was your best chance and both KD and DG pride themselves on taking legacies, so maybe it will turn out OK. Good luck.

Yeah, I realize that now. I know couple of girls in KD and DG, but honestly I'd be interested to try going for Sigma, ADPi, Zeta and Phi Mu too if they are doing COB. I don't really care where I get bid, I'd make friends wherever and would be lucky for any sisterhood. I just mentioned KD and DG because I'm a legacy and found out they both did COB last spring.
