God damn people are nasty. She was just trying to spread a positive message and try to lessen our worries in no malicious intent. People getting bashed on for being nice.

Condescending (adj): having a feeling or showing patronizing superiority. Where in this post are minorities being patronized? There's no tone of superiority in this post either. The goal of the post was to communicate a message of love, and love is never condescending. You're misunderstanding what I was trying to communicate, I wasn't trying to say every thing will be okay because now white people deem minorities worthy. I was trying to say everything will be alright because you are women. You are just a much as a woman as any other pmn, not because I deem you that, because you naturally are! All women have a shot at rush, mizzou Panhellenic has come a long way because they're a group of women who understand a human is somebody beyond a skin color or origin. I was not trying to dictate all your feelings, but get those who are stressed out because of issues of race to be more comforted and assured toward the process. No, I will never be in your position and can't relate on that level, but what I can do is give you is some affirmation toward recruitment. I just wanted to make every girl going through this process feel like they are valued just as much as any other girl. And "ah... No" yes white privilege might exist, but you none was being imposed on to anyone with this post. If you don't like what I said, I truly do feel sorry for you. This was obviously not meant to offend anyone. This world is just full of pessimist trying to destroy positivity at every turn you make..

Honestly, I feel like minorities are going to have a leg up over other PNMs this year. First off they are more easily recognized by actives compared to the rest of the girls who all start to blend together party after party, and every chapter wants to be seen as "open and diverse". My only worry would be girls getting bids from houses they don't match personalities with just to have a visible "token" of acceptance. Don't see your minority status as a disadvantage, see it instead as a step up against the competition because it makes you different in a beautiful way. Hope you all end up in the chapters you will feel the most loved by.
