What are the gpa requirements for each chapter?? Im rushing as a sophomore and have a 3.1 currently. Im just trying to see which houses will accept me and if they take gpas lightly.

No sorority's take a 3.1 lightly, that would make you a grade risk to even the more lenient sororities. Still give recruitment a shot but if you're struggling to make the grade in hs it's probably best that you focus on your studying habits before getting involved in Greek life

Before you criticize someone else's academics, you might want to figure out the plural of "sorority." Hint, it NEVER involves an apostrophe.

Clearly a typo since the first word third line is sororities but keep reachin - it's ok no one's feelings were hurt since OP is just a sad troll with a hatred towards pretty girls

It's 2017. Many pretty girls know how to spell. I know. Amazing, isn't it?

There are some sororities that aren't very serious about grades. You will find them at the bottom of the GPA list put out by Greek Life each semester. They aren't very good houses, however, and they have a lot of turnover because girls drop/flunk out and they are always taking new members. However, you CAN make good friends in such a house and you CAN get the real sorority experience.

^ Ha. This idiot who's clearly still in high school or missed lesson one of college English which tells us that using large words actually makes you sound stupid. Faux pas #1 in essay writing, GDI.

Sorry LOL, but exactly what is the big word that you don't understand? I don't see one. And while I might not be an English major, I certainly took a college English course, but never heard that lesson one was not using an appropriate word just because it has more than two syllables.

LOL the same English class that ALL of us were required to take teaches us that if there's a more simple word - use it, otherwise you look like you're trying too hard. Which you are. Typical GDI.

Still wondering which "big word" had you so rattled that you had to go on a rant. And that so-called rule? Never heard of it. My guess is that you are some sort of business major, since they generally have the vocabulary of a third grader.

You havent heard the rule because you haven't attended mizzou. You also CLEARLY are not a tridelt so please keep the name out of your mouth. Tridelt has been quiet on here for a reason and we don't need random lurkers "standing up" for us

There is no such rule and you know it. I do attend Mizzou and I still am waiting to hear which "big word" has you so flummoxed. Just answer the damm question.

There are hundreds of thousands of words at our disposal. Why would someone not want to use the very best word instead of the simplest word? Oh, I know. It's because they have the vocabulary of a turnip. Now, what's that word that has you so perplexed, because I sure don't see what all the fuss is about.

If you went to mizzou and attended the mandatory English class you'd understand sweetie, maybe unemployment will help pay your tuition - look into it :)

I don't even OWN a thesaurus. And I can't figure out which word had you stymied. So, please, enlighten us. And, by the way, that English class you are so proud of is for freshmen who don't do well in the English ACT. Many of us weren't required to take it. But you wouldn't know about that, would you?

a 2.3, if you are "pretty" will get you in to a sorority. don't worry

I'm not sure even a house as desperate as Alpha Phi would take someone with a gpa of 2.3

Wrong. More like I acknowledge how shameful all of our house GPAs are and that no house actually has bragging rights.

There is nothing shameful about the gpa's of Mizzou's top houses. In fact they are higher than: KU, OSU, Arkansas, Michigan State, Indiana, Colorado, Iowa, Florida, Florida State and Purdue. And those are just the first ones I checked. But how would you know? Alpha Phi always was, and continues to be a bottom dweller. When YOUR house is in the top 3 in grades, we can have a legit discussion. Until then, just shut up.

Do not worry with a 3.1 I am going to be honest, the first day of cuts are going to be a shock to you possibly. Bu maybe it won't be! Just have an open mind through recruitment and go to the houses that have chosen you because they can see you as a sister. But just prepare yourself for the first cuts because those most likely are grades.
