potentially transferring
by: hawkeyeI'm thinking about transferring from Iowa. What can you tell me about DG here? thanks

Our Greek system is one of the best in the nation. It is extremely competitive and almost half of the women who go through rush wind up not pledging, mainly because they can't get into the houses they desire. Each year dozens of women seek to transfer and affiliate, but many are turned down and have to choose alum status instead. If DG will have you, you will enjoy the Greek experience and the sisterhood. Start early, though, and keep your grades up.

DG is a mid to upper mid tier house here. They are somewhat known for looks, and can be comparable party-wise to Aphi, Gphi, Tri Delt, etc. They get okay grades, mid to low end of the spectrum, and do average in most competitions. From what I've seen and heard they have a great sisterhood! Why not try and affiliate? It can't hurt!

If you like like lots of fun and lots of laughter, and minimal drama then DG at mizzou will fit you perfectly. People often consider them forgotten because while they do tend to recruit pretty girls, they don't necessarily conform to the standard and attitudes of the top pretty/popular houses here, and they have some involved and intelligent girls but don't necessarily fall into the niche of the super involved/ well rounded sororities either. Quite middle of the line. I believe you'd find amazing friends and have great experiences like you have at Iowa DG. A plus is DG will have just finished building their brand new house for the beginning of the fall semester and it is looking HUGE so far.

This is just unnecessary! I liked DG during recruitment, they have a rich history on MU campus and there is nothing wrong with DG.
