why is tri-delt considered the "hot girl" house?
by: Hmm???I've literally met so many tri-delts and have seen so many more on social media who are average at best. Some of them are actually straight up not cute. What's up with that? They're barely holding on to their reputation from 2-3 years ago.

Tridelt got super hung up in giving bids to friends instead of girls who had met their usual "hot" standards and have been going downhill at a pretty fast rate for the past 3 years now. They weren't even able to make quota this year which is scary. I don't think anyone considers them a hot house anymore, they're pretty much just a clique of average STL girls

Agree. Got too cliquey which is too bad because they had a great mix of smart and hot.
Gphi took advantage and grabbed the smart girls. Don't doubt for a minute though, tri delt learned from their mistakes and will be back, and it'll be interesting because now they will compete with gphi for those top, well rounded girls.
should be a lesson to all to not get cliquey, but there are still houses that think that is the way to build their base. If tri delt can fall, anyone can fall. I don't know if there is any other house on campus that held that rep for so long,.

You can not compare aphi and tridelt. Even with tridelts fall they are in a different league from aphi. Always have been, always will be.
With that said, I think with the direction aphi is rumored to be headed under new leadership they will focus on things other than looks and trying to self promote. They lucked out with some girls who might be able to do damage control from the past few years. If rumors be true, a lot of money has been put into this chapter with the expectation that the antics of the past year not be repeated. Its a strong national organization and there were some pretty major embarrassments here(I don't think we need to remind anyone)

Nope. Tridelt has fallen to low mid, pnms chose aphi over tridelt every time. Sorry...if you want to be a decent sorority again, you just work on you.

Went through rush in August. I can tell you that while I had my choice of houses, I never considered Alpha Phi. Nor did my friends from high school. We would never join a house that didn't have grade cuts. Alpha Phi is sort of a joke.

Oh, and I went to TriDelt until I cut them before the last day. There is still some real quality in that house. Not low-mid by any means.

Good to know aphi has been listening and is now passing those words on to others.
With that said, aphi is still considered a wannabe house with cliquey wanna be high school girls. You can not expect to have a top house when you only choose based on looks and who you went to high school with. Tri Delt learned that the hard way, but they at least kept to grade cuts.
Who posted that 'unofficial' poll of the percentages of girls that went to the same high school and are now in the same house? Re post it, because it will tell you a lot about why some houses are cliquey and have a terrible retention-the girls that aren't in that 'clique' feel very excluded once they get past bid day.
To those pnm reading, go with your gut-do not follow the crowd. This is college and time to break free and learn to fly on your own!

You know what's sad? That a college student who doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're" is criticizing a house that consistently gets decent grades. And she, herself, is so clueless that she probably isn't even embarrassed by her post.
