are sororities are on probation?

I haven't heard of any sororities who will be on probation next fall but that doesn't mean there won't be any. For a pledge this would mean that you aren't allowed to have swaps or date parties. For me, this would be a big deal because that's how I made most of my friends in my sorority because I live in pres (and don't go to the house as much as the tut girls).

There were a couple of sororities placed on social probation by their nationals because of grades or other infractions. You won't necessarily know that information unless you pledge that group. The sororities keep that info quiet as it would obviously affect recruitment if girls knew they would not have swaps or date parties for a semester.

the sororities are definitely not going to advertise that they're on probation bc that's obviously going to turn some girls away from them

If I understand this correctly --when PNMs are going through rush we won't know if a sorority is on probation?
