If you transfer to a school and don't affiliate, you're considered an alumna member. If you transfer to a school and there is no chapter of your sorority there, you're considered an alumna member.
You may or may not be able to affiliate with your chapter here. Depends on your sorority's policies and it may depend on the chapter's policies - they may not be ABLE to affiliate you, even if they wanted to.
For more info, contact your sorority's HQ.
My advice would be to wait a semester before attempting to affiliate. Get to know the girls, go to the house and hang out. Alabama's chapters are so big, they are a totally different experience from other campuses. You may hate it. If you've affiliate, your only recourse may be to resign from your sorority.
So think carefully.
