COB fall of 2026

Don’t want to go through formal rush. What houses are likely to do COB?

There is no guarantee a house will eligible to COB any semester

Last spring eligible houses were -

AOPI
Aphi
DG
GPB
Theta
SK
Zeta

Last fall eligible houses were -
Aopi
Aphi
DG
GPB
SK

Keep in mind eligible houses may not participate or they may only take 1-2 girls.

They sold out. The girls are prettier over the last couple of years but there grades suck. So sad as a alumni of the house.

Most likely less houses will be fall eligible because if a house has enough mutual interest during rush they will take add ons above quota which will increase their total number.

Houses that take quota additions can still be under Chapter Total, and that is what determines any open spots for COB.

Quota additions are how every pnm who does not SIP is guaranteed a bid, even if it puts a house over quota. The chapters with the lower return rates take the most quota additions because the algorithm gives them more pnm's at every round. Those chapters end up with the most pnm's attending pref, and every pnm at a pref is on that bid list, so there are more quota additions to assure those pnm's get a bid. The rush funnel at work.

Open spots are determined right after recruitment when panhellenic resets house total. Aopi Aphi DG GPB SK usually have some spots but there are not many and they will immediately ask girls they met during recruitment who didn't get a bid, or other girls they already know who they think might be interested. If no members know you it would be hard to get one of the fall Open Bids.

How soon after Bid Day does COB open? Is it right after or later in the semester?

It's right after, as already stated. But you aren't getting a COB if no one knows you. It's not a secondary rush.

If a house is doing COB does that mean they didn’t meet quota? Or, is it possible to meet
quota but then still do COB because a bunch of seniors graduated maybe so total numbers are low?

Yes both. A house can COB if they didn't meet quota by bid day and/or if they are under whatever Chapter Total panhellenic sets after bid day.
