psa for pnms rushing this year
by: advicei’ve been hearing that a lot of girls intentionally flipped their name tag around for a house or were rude to the actives. please do not do this on purpose because as an active myself they will still know/find out your name and a ton of girls will have friends in your “top” houses. you should be respectful and kind to the girls always even if it’s not your top choice but don’t think that sororities don’t talk amongst each other and it’s a super bad look to act like you are too good for a house and you could get dropped that way even if you’re a legacy.

I think it's funny that during second rounds PNMs think they own the process. Unless you have been dirty rushed and promised a bid from KD or KKG from your 30 high school friends, you haven't yet experienced the deep cuts that happen after second rounds. No house wants a pledge that refuses to play the game and follow the rules. We just don't want to sign up for a semester of babysitting your childish behavior. Grow up.

No one can promise you a bid either…well they can but it’s not a guarantee. There are drops from higher up that can’t be changed. I’ve seen best friends and girls who were pre-rushed a ton dropped. Nothing is guaranteed until bid day.

Happens every single year. Girls also will flat out refuse to talk in some houses or say extremely weird stuff to try to get dropped.
Unfortunately it’s not limited to PNMs— a few years back the J boards stationed outside gphi got in huge trouble for intentionally putting the PNMs in the wrong order to mess up gphi’s matching.
