swaps are when a sorority and a frat pair together for a themed party, these happen first semester mostly so the freshmen can get to know each other. date parties are when a sorority or frat hosts a themed party at a venue and you can bring a date. formal is also a date party but girls wear long dresses. band parties are frat parties where they hire a band or dj to play at them. if you’re a girl you can get into any party/darty but if you’re a guy you need to be either in the frat or get a wristband from a brother usually
