Do fraternities look at ACT?
by: williamI’ve got a strong gpa but a weaker act. Do some fraternities value this this at all or is it a very minor factor to them?

If your grades are good I don’t think they’ll drop you JUST for a low ACT. Grades are what they’re worried about anyway and if you had good grades in hs that’s a good sign you’ll get decent grades in college too

ive got a 21. (22 if you superscore). hoping my 3.8 GPA at a well respected private school could help me out if academics become a factor for a fraternity like sigma ep. also captain of soccer team and student body President if they care about that type of stuff

See that’s not high but that’s also not that low. I think the average score is a 22? I don’t see you getting dropped just for a slightly below average ACT when you have proven you can get great grades

Yeah I’ve heard ATO is big on academics. I was really eyeing Sig Ep and I know they are big academically as well.

Personally if i were u if lean towards more established houses with more instate people if i were u. Phi Gam, Theta Chi, and ATO could be worth looking into since Sig Ep is like 80% out of state kids.

Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't the ideal corresponding act for a 3.8 gpa be 25-26?
