Why would someone announce what it was everybody who knows her already knows. And thats not something you usually do when someone dies and you’re posting something in memory of them

It IS offensive to mention her name on greekrank. It is not okay to mention individuals on here. You're just being nosy and insensitive, and it's not your call to decide what's okay for everyone to know; it is up to her family and ONLY her family.
