Do guys really care if your bigger or brunette?

Looks do matter and, yes, some houses will cut you entirely based on appearance, not the majority, but some. HOWEVER, there are ways to maximize your rush experience. First and foremost, get recs. While the majority of houses here won’t cut you based on appearance, they will drop you first round if you don’t have a rec (especially true for OR houses). Second, look cute. There are a ton of styles out there for bigger girls that not only look good but are also flattering. Three, be confident, let your personality come through during the convos. Four, know that a lot of actives (in ALL house) are heavier... Just because you don’t see them doesn’t mean they’re not there. Being able to accept yourself as well as others will go a long way during rush.

Lol what I’m in one of those houses you’ve listed and literally everyone participates in rush and everyone is made sure to talk to atleast one top girl

I’m in one of these houses and they aren’t picked based on weight at all. Usually it’s girls who aren’t all that comfortable talking to strangers who volunteer, and they’re happier in the basement doing admin activities. Frankly yes sometimes there are girls assigned to admin activities but it’s usually personality/risk based.
Also keep in mind that some houses, (usually old row) have alumnae who volunteer to come pour water and help set up, which means they don’t have to pull girls off the floor to do it. My house doesn’t have that advantage. Also I doubt there’s a house where EVERY girl is on the floor, someone has to do matching and make sure the voting system is working.

Does this actually happen? I’m in a house that is pretty consistently ranked near top and every girl participates in rush and talks to pnms. Granted it is not a “looks” house but still I feel like this can’t be a thing
