I am going out on a limb and say that I am proud of Alpha Phi for doing so well. Most of us in the Greek community wanted them to rebuild, although you can't tell it on here. There was so much negative talk about how they might not make quota and would get all the "leftovers"(hate that term). I don't know what went on within the walls of their house, but apparently it wasn effective. As for all the "they didn't get as many of the girls they usually get" comments...well shut up and be happy because you are the people who complain about those girls. Also, all the "XYZ picked up a lot of girls who typically would go APhi so they did great" comments. Really? If you don't like those girls, dear negative people, why are you cheering on other houses for taking them?
In actuality, Alpha Phi prevailed against the odds, so good for them. I notice no one is on here saying that after all the BS put on here pre and during recruitment. I know my house is happy with our PC and it looks like there are a lot of happy, smiling new members everywhere. I think this was one of the best recruitments ever in terms of most houses feeling very satisfied with their new girls. I also have great hopes for Sigma Kappa and wish them well. Good pledges all around and best wishes to them all!

tbh, alpha phi made us ALL look bad. they made the school look bad, they made greek life look bad, they made the actual state of alabama look bad. it was a PR mess for EVERYONE.
i know a lot of people don't agree with me but i think it wouldve been so much easier for their nationals to just close the chapter.

Yeah going to be honest, my issue in the past with APhi was not just the racism scandal (and I thought the rush video “scandal” was totally dumb and just pushed by people with an anti-Greek agenda). In the past I’ve had issues with the house because I’d met so many girls who were genuinely so rude and unpleasant, and (from the outside) it seemed like they didn’t have a sisterhood based on anything but superficial factors and partying. My roommate/ best friend is an aphi and some girls in my friend group are APhi’s and I LOVE them, but hearing them talk about the house and meeting their other APhi “friends” made me so glad it wasn’t the house I received a bid from.
That being said, BECAUSE of that I was rooting for them during rush this year. I think getting rid of 200 girls was a great chance to get rid of the toxic girls and hopefully end up with the genuinely good girls in the house. Only time will tell, but I hope losing those 200 girls and their new PC will be a positive change in direction for the house.

yes because the 400 girls who did absolutely nothing deserve to have their sorority experience ruined because of one girl. very logical!!!!
