Where are the top girls going this year from Tuscaloosa, Huntsville and OTM? These girls seem to be more free thinkers than mobile, Montgomery and mtn brook. The top girls (most connected or popular) have their pick, but these cities’ girls seem to go different places every year.
Don’t say that they can’t go where they want, bc they can. For example, Most years for Tuscaloosa it’s kd, chi o or alpha chi. Mtn brook rarely branches out. Zzz

Huntsville is always interesting and breaks down like this:
Rising Senior class is very strong in alpha Gam. Before that, they had great having girls who all the other OR chapters wanted. But then they took girls mainly dropped by others in the rising junior class, some really unlikable ones and QR. So agd went down from hsv
Chi O was pulling great from hsv several years ago but can’t keep their legacies out of ddd and kd. Will likely resurge bc foundation is there and they have great legacies!
KD gets legacies who would never cross mama but are in the outsider clique here. The ones in the insider clique are legacies of sisters and not well liked at home. Half are very wild and surface.
Alpha Chi used to get more hsv girls but the ones they do get are the best all round types the last few years. These are the girls who are very well liked and won everything in High school and still do. The Hsv girls here are very nice.
Tri Delt has been doing very well in Hsv. Get their legacies and steal some from chi o and kd. They are not very concerned with reputations, but they get who they want and girls lately are much more fun than KD and Agd. Tri Delt has a great rush and has had a lot of success getting who they want.
Phi Mu gets good girls from hsv generally. These are some of the more looks based, airheaded girls but the ones in there now are sweet. Likable girls!
Kappa has a mix of old money types and QR girls. They are fun girls who are much more chill than KD but don’t do as much.
Zeta gets very wild hsv girls, but they are kind unlike some other wild ones. Good group in there now.
AOPi- nice girls from hsv, smart and well liked. This is a place for leaders.
ADPi- crazy mix of girls who didn’t hang out in high school but all get along now. Good group.
Remember I am only talking about hsv girls in these and not the chapter as a whole.

Definitely have noticed a shift in KD. This past PC they took a much smaller mountain brook group but the girls they took were all great, so I take it as a good change?
Sounds like their shifting to be more like DDD at least with girls from that area— still a great option for pledging if you’re from MB, but they don’t want to just take a huge group.

KD did terrible with mountain brook PC17! KKG took all the good mountain brook girls last year. The KD’s were weird girls that KKG dropped but okaaaay. DDD did much better than KD did with mountain brooke!

KD and kappa both took great girls as they usually do from MB. The big difference is kappa got an entire friend group.

KD got 2 good legacies and the rest were WEIRDOS from Mountain Brook. They were cut from KKG. Do your homework

Eh. The reason Tri Delt and Alpha Gam do so well with HSV girls is there’s a strong legacy base of both houses in HSV. One of the most influential ladies in HSV is the queen of Tri Delt and and therefore most HSV girls only have Tri Delt and Alpha Gam on their radars before rush. Alpha Gam’s last good HSV pledge class was PC 2015. They got a ton of great HSV girls. However, it dropped in 2016, and they only got 1 good HSV girl this year.
Trip Delt usually pulls well in HSV, but as the city continues to know and the HSV girls continue to branch out, other sororities have started to have these girls on their radar and Tri Delt has actually started to compete for HSV girls, instead of just getting them. They took a QR in 2017 but also got two great HSV girls.
KD , Chi O, and Kappa all have somewhat of a foundation in HSV (mainly KD and Chi O), but there’s not a lot of HSV girls in those houses so it is really hard for these houses to pull HSV girls as these girls are more comfortable with what they grew up around and what all of the older girls they know did (Tri Delt and Alpha Gam). Plus, sometimes I think KD, Chi O, and Kappa put all their energy into MB, Mobile, and other cities and overlook great Huntsville girls. Chi O loses big HSV legacies every year.
As for Phi Mu, they get Grissom girls, okay HSV girls, or Madison girls. They take a lot of Madison girls (not the same as Huntsville). Alpha Chi is a wild card as they’re not really talked about but they still 1-2 great Huntsville girls every year!
Overall, Tri Delt and Alpha Gam have a pattern of getting the most HSV girls. But I think more houses are starting to compete and just because these two houses get the most HSV girls, doesn’t mean they get the BEST HSV girls.

Decatur has a heavy Chi O crowd. But this year Alpha Chi and Kappa got good Dec girls. Also, KD’s president is from Dec and her sister is in house also. Florence has a heavy Kappa base, but Chi O and KD also got good Florence girls this year. I don’t know if there’s necessarily a large trend here as with other cities, because these are smaller towns so it’s hard to tell!

Agd did get outstanding hsv girls with the current senior class but not since then. Ddd has a couple of really great hsv girls.
Agd is aggressive in rush but then isn’t cohesive in reality. Took a ton of QR in soph and fresh classes & that will turn off girls coming in.
Axo doesn’t have many hsv girls but the ones they get every year are the ones who fit well there- who are well-liked and very solid. I would say that they and ddd get the best out of hsv.
KD takes mainly legacies from hsv and they are divided into the ones they really want and the ones they just take. Big divide.
Chi O had great hsv girls and few years ago but very few pledging lately. They just need a good class and will be back on the hsv radar.

Top Vestavia goes all over OR except kappa. Some in AGD and DDD too and a couple in chi o and kd

Axo has one from the stav in pc17. One. With Drama. Same for xo. Agd got no top stav pnms in pc17. None. KD, PMU and DDD is what to look for if you assume PC17 will matter to PC18. AXO might for a legacy or two.
