who cut you after iwts

i was midwest oos, great gpa and involvement, average presentation. after open house round i got cut by alpha chi, chi o, pi phi, zeta, phi mu, and kappa. was really surprised i got kd and alpha gam back because i had heard they were super southern and i definitely was not really their "type."

just curious what houses surprised you with whether you got them back or not!!

I did too. These were the only two houses I didn’t have in house connections to, but I was still really surprised bc I really considered these houses to be my type (I had a 4.1 gpa and lots of involvement in high school)

Far OOS, West Coast, recs to all but one house, pretty, dress well, not shy, involved in philanthropies, private HS, some connections, legacy to a couple of houses/ not Alabama, solid grades (3.8):
Cut by AXO, PM, XO, AGD, and AP.

Of course I pledged a house! I just wondered why someone gave me a downvote for sharing my cuts after IWT. I had a lot of houses that round (11), I had 7 the next round and 3 for pref ( two OR and one NR). I got my top house.

I had good grades, etc, but was mostly unconnected and didn't get invited back to PM, AXO, KD, AGD, APhi, DG and ADPi, which even my Rho Chi thought left me with a really weird mix and I'm still not sure what to think about it.

the cut i was most surprised by was pi phi. I had a good convo but i think it was the gpa that did it for me (3.4). i was kept by houses that cross rush with them throughout the rest of rush. no hard feelings. just surprised

I’m from Midwest too. After IWT I still had axo, aphi, aopi, kappa, phi mu, theta, dg, gphi, adpi, dz, & pi phi

From in state with good grade and average involvement and connections. Got cut by AGD Chi O KD Gamma Phi and Zeta first round then went to 8 houses and preffed three OR houses (basically the ones I hoped I would pref since IWT)
