I was sort of shy and not really popular in HS. Pretty enough but not popular. Too tall and thin. I was liked but never dated much or hung around popular people.
Swore In college I would work at being outgoing and learned to talk to most anyone. Joined a mid-tier chapter and a couple other orgs. My first semester got lots of dates thanks to my sorority sisters. Got on Exec and other envied positions with University.
It happens. But popular in college is so different from HS... the truly talented or involved students shine and they are everywhere.
