rho chi groups

You will be assigned a group number. And there are about 25-30 groups depending on how many girls are rushing that year. In those numbered groups there are about 5 Rho Chi's assigned to about 15 girls. So technically your Rho Chi group is very small and is no more than 20 girls. But your overall group number is about 100 girls.
When I rushed in 2016 (the largest rush class at UA/in the nation), I was in group 22 and my last name started with S (everything is alphabetical). In group 22, there were probably 100 girls and I think 4 Rho Chis.
Your Rho Chi is there to serve just your small group of 15-20. Your Rho Chi is going to be the one to check you in and check you out at the beginning of the day, before and after lunch/breaks, and check you out at the end of the day.

best advice I can give you is make friends in your rho chi and subgroups! my friends from rho chi are still some of my best friends and it really helps you branch out of just the friends you make in your sorority.
Also, talk to your rho chis! I was one for two years and I promise that they want to be helpful and get to know you. If you don’t click with the rho chi in charge of your particular subgroup, then you definitely will with at least one of the rho chis in your group.

You will still get to hang out at your rho chi station with the girls in your group when you’re not in a party! Definitely take advantage of that time bc you’ll meet some of your best friends. I’m a senior now and any time I run into someone from my group (even if we weren’t friends) we make a point to say hey!
