fraternity vs. sorority rankings

Why do sororities here care so much about ranks and tiers? Like seriously it's almost all ranking posts on the first 4 pages. And why are there no rankings for the fraternities? We know how competitive they can get but they don't get all caught up with what others think of their houses. Seems like they've got the right idea.
