too old at 21?
by: MissMissingOutHow old is too old for sorority rush? I'm 21 but I'm a transfer and because UA took almost none of my credits I'm going to be here for four years. I did rush this past summer and had a rough time and ended up getting dropped (I put zero effort in because I didnt like the only house I had left) and I was wondering if anyone really extends bids out to sophomores? The only other sophomores in my last group either got dropped or ended up at the house I didnt like.

I’m a sophomore that rushed this past year and maybe I got lucky, but only one house I ranked 1 dropped me. I had a full schedule every day and took my tops to each next round (except that one) so while being older won’t help you, I’d say just have a stellar gpa, awesome recs (2 per house) and show involvement and leadership this year. If you do that you should do okay as long as this year you were dropped Bc of bad grades or no recs etc. also though, don’t be so high and mighty that you think you’re too good for a house. No house keeps girls they don’t want so that house wanted you and you snubbed them. They will probably remember that and some houses have a once dropped always drop rule
