opinion: ranking alabama sororities is misleading

Is there a loose tier system at Alabama? Of course, as with any school. However, with the strength and size of every sorority at UA (EVERY one, from top to bottom), the ranking system is a little bit skewed. It's like ranking the world's richest people. Yes, we'd all like to be Bill Gates, but if you were number 1,000 on that list, you wouldn't be complaining. How I see it, OR is generally coveted, especially by in state girls, and they enjoy favor with certain fraternities. However, MANY NR sororities NO ONE would be disappointed to get during rush. They're full of gorgeous, charming, and likable girls. Hell, they may even do better with some OOSers. There are only a few sororities that girls perhaps take because they're dropped by the more prominent ones, and even those sororities have great sisterhood and their girls generally enjoy being a part of them. If you took what you believed to be "bottom house" and put it at pretty much any other school they'd be amongst the strongest there. Just something to think about.
