what's the deal with dz and theta???

If you have anything to do with recruitment you know what the girls think after they go to those houses.

some are consistently at the top and some consistently at the bottom. you can figure it out

Ranks are SUBJECTIVE. DZ/Theta may be an awful house to some while others think those are amazing houses. Truth is, when people rank, every house needs a spot. At this point, it's not that DZ/Theta are "bad" it's just that a majority of people see other houses that are "stronger" thus why those other houses are ranked higher. But like I said, ranks/tiers are subjective. One person may think that looks are all that matter when ranking while others may think that grades are all that matter when ranking.

The TRUTH is that DZ and Theta are great houses. DZ is full of very nice and social girls. Theta is full of smart, involved, and sisterly girls. If you judge a house based on where they rank on an anonymous website then you need to reevaluate your priorities.

Truth is most people throw DZ and Theta at the bottom because that's where the person the day before put them. No one cares to actually justify ranks at the bottom because ranks are done to maneuver someone's house to the top. Think about it! Not to mention most ranks on this site are done by people that don't even go to school here (moms old alums or seniors in HS) so they are just copying what they've already seen. Some of the houses constantly listed in the bottom of ranks choose not to defend themselves on this stupid site and It's a shame because all houses at Bama are very strong!

You have to look at the facts. Every house has over 400 women. Every house takes legacies, best friends, etc... In other words, every house has fantastic women taken during recruitment and women who got in for other reasons. With over 400 in each house...they ALL have about the same. Recruitment is competitive and Theta and DZ are at the bottom here because other houses, and yes, moms and older alumnae, don't want to them rise any higher because it puts their chapter at risk of sinking. So they keep them at the bottom in ranks. Both of these chapters have been on campus for a long time and are fantastic houses.

There are reasons Theta is at the bottom and should stay there:
They did not do pomp last year but did something different.
Different is not good. They should respect Bama traditions.
They have refused to be part of the machine.
They have a better reputation OOS than in-state so they have always
taken more OOS women, again, makes them less in step with Bama's
southern traditions.
They still have an old house while sororities that have come to
campus later, GPB and DG, have much nicer houses.

Because they are not shallow enough to care and take members who are not shallow enough to care. You have to have confidence in yourself to be a member of either one.

I would think many girls would be glad Theta and DZ existed at UA. Don't they somehow make you insecure nasty posters feel more important and special? You're all so pathetic! They're both fine houses with great girls. I'd rather be with Thetas and DZs than some of the wicked girls/trolls writing these posts! Now there's some truth!
