Honestly a lot of them do. The old row fraternities seem the worst with it though. If you walk by their houses, you’ll see brothers who won’t even say “Hello” to each other. Doesn’t seem super classy in my opinion.

Gonna say ditto to the Old Row fraternities having "cliques" of guys. The pledge classes and entire fraternity don't seem as tight. Honestly, I may get some flack, and yes these guys are douches, but all of Pike seems to love each other. I think Sigma Chi, Pi Kapp, and Theta Chi are the same way as well.

Brotherhood? That went out the window when fraternity memberships started to exceed 80 members. There was a time when you had to know everything about every member. That's impossible to do anymore with pledge classes that have 40+ members. If it's true brotherhood you are looking for, you're better off joining the military.

It’s impossible to be connected to everyone in the fraternity since you have upperclassmen and all that. It doesn’t matter where you ended up, you’ll have a strong bond between you and your pledge brothers.
