honest opinion on gphi

In MY opinion I don't really see GPhi as trending up. I mean, yes, they've made drastic improvements compared to earlier years. But for the most part, their recent PC's have been very mixed. Half of the girls are OOS partiers, the other half of the girls are very quiet and mild. However, I do think that GPhi does know how to sell themselves well... They know the "image" they want people to perceive them as and they follow through with it reasonably well doing such through social media. The biggest things GPhi struggle with though is grades, overall reputation among both PNMs and other Greeks on campus, as well as sisterhood.

I've met some really sweet GPhi's, I've met some really disgusting ones. Solid bottom tier house.

Here's the thing, just because gphis pc is better than they usually get for sure does not mean its not full of the girls that all the better houses dropped. They just got the best of the leftovers.

i don't mean any of this in a rude way because i actually have a really good friend in gamma phi and she's the nicest but...

the thing about gamma phi is that their pc's are extremely split. not just in "types" and appearances. but their sisterhood is very divided. a lot of the girls i've had first hand interactions with are very catty and mean. yes, there are some angels but many of the girls are anything but sweet. and to me, a divided sisterhood is something that can't be excused. i mean this is a sorority and at the end of the day, no matter how pretty or fun a girl is, if she isn't a decent human being then how great can she really be.

The comments above demonstrate the panic that the lower and middle houses are feeling with the rise of some of the lower houses. I'd be willing to bet that every one of these comment were actually written by a some girl who lost a rush crush to Gphi. Look for all the replies denying that, but you can bet it's true. It's just sad that there are so many people here that are so intent on social climbing that they have to lie on social media. The only people who will tell the truth about Gphi are girls from the top houses that aren't impacted by G phi's rise. That's the truth.

They self promote a lot but their girls are nothing special

I'm in a top house and I put DZ higher on my list than GPhi. The conversations I had were really forced and I just didn't feel very comfortable in that house.

I think gphi is a lower tier house. However, I think that some houses have definitely fallen a little lower then them. They're had better pledge classes the past two years then a couple other houses. I think that for a long time other lower tier houses could say "at least we're not gphi" or just automatically assume that people would rank gphi below them. Now that isn't always the case. I would say that I would put gphi fourth from the bottom. Still not a great house and wouldn't be my first choice, but the improvement from two ago can't be denied.
