So over the summer I checked in to GR to try to get a sense of what rush was going to be like.
After it all is over I really am surprised how much bad advice and false impressions are spread on this site.
Thought I'd start a thread to list these inaccuracies.
I'll start with one - I have many. Hope y'all can add on
Recommendation Letters: I only got rec letters to houses where I had close family friends and relatives who were alumna, so didn't have them at every house. Comparing this with my Rho Chi friends - we could not identify ANY house that cut after IWT based on no recs. Maybe this used to be true, but not now!

The ranks on here are lame.
AXO way over-rated. Yikes!! No one ever disputed their number one spot on here on any post. Plenty of toeht houses can claim to be at their level.
The entire idea of one or two or even three top houses is just not the case.
Many great houses here. Debates about ranks are just personal preferences. I'd argue there is two groups: houses girls want and ones they will settle on.
And, pref lists are all across the board. Top to bottom and everything in between.

Mine won't. If you aren't willing to put in the effort to get a rec, we're not willing to put in the effort to do it for you and find someone to write it.
