roommate
by: PNMMy roommate is really dang negative and keeps telling me that I shouldn't like a house because their philanthropy seriously helped me (Phi Mu and the CMNH) and the girls I've met so far are great. She also is under the impression that sororities don't do much for philanthropy. Am I wrong to want the chance be a part of an organization that changed my childhood and teen years? I know that I may not end up in Phi Mu and I'll be happy wherever I land, but I'm feeling kind of dumb and naïve because of her. I'm doing great on Rush and have been having an absolutely amazing time and if any actives are reading this, Thank you all for managing all of this and for putting on a great week. You all are amazing and I would be honored to be part of a sisterhood that involves any of you. I'm proud to be a PNM in your process. And to my fellow PNMs, may your cuts be light, your hair withstand the heat and rain, and your makeup always look beautiful. I'm so happy that you all are so great and making friends with all of you is so easy. Thanks so much!!!

A MASSIVE part of why I pledged my house was b/c I'd been assisted by our philanthropy in the past, even though my house is so-called "bottom tier" and I preffed other houses that were more popular in tent talk. Now I am super involved with it and want to run for its associated council position in my house. I am so happy here. Don't let negative people and their gossip impact how you rank the houses during recruitment.

Listen to your heart, not your roommate/mom/girl in line in front of you/ranks on this site.
She isn't living your life, you are.
