geography

by: PNM

If I were an active and didn't know where the state my PNM was from is located I would NOT ask!!! As in, "so I've heard of Nebraska (example- not where I'm from)! Is that up in the northeast?" Surely you learned geography in HS- if you really want to know look it up later. I'm a legacy to this house and told my sister this and she cracked up laughing but was embarrassed for the house.

Gave away a little too much information. Doesn't matter if you didn't mention the state. Advice to pnms don't put any details on this site. We have a way of figuring out exactly who you are!

What's embarrassing are actives who know nothing about the country they live in! Wow. Just wow.

This is so rude. Honestly, you should be thankful that that active wasn't a know it all because if she was I'm sure that would've made you extremely uncomfortable... And I'm sure if that were you not knowing something you would want the active to be understanding and nonjudgemental.

Not everyone is into geography... I'm from the NorthEast and for the longest time I though New York was above Connecticut (which I now know is wrong, Massachusetts is).

We know you are talking about alpha phi because you posted same comment on a different post. We know you are a legacy. We know you are from the Midwest. If you weren't cut this morning expect to be cut next round. Silly pnm if you are even are a pnm or you are someone just trying to throw shade on alpha phi.

I never said I was from the Midwest- I used that as an example and clearly stated so! Lol!!

Ha! Go ahead! That's not the house! My goodness you all think you can guess it all! I really wouldn't consider them anyway. I didn't give my correct state or geographical region and even said so in the post. I know they aren't all this way (obviously my bio sister isn't!!) but this was a house with a low G.P.A.- I've already checked. I won't say which one. I may still accept a bid because no one has a clue which house I'm talking about. Maybe I can help bring up these G.P.A. Sigh. Being a legacy I know more about inside I do that you'd think. I'm also a legacy to more than one house.

Ok the original post was a bit ridiculous and you'd think someone would be smarter than to make a post that totally and completely gives away their identity BUT yeah...it is pretty embarrassing that someone thought Nebraska was in the Northeast. And also embarrassing for someone on here to think that you need to be "into geography" to know the most basic regions and locations in the US.

The most surprising thing about this post is how many people are totally cool with girls being so ignorant. You live in this country, at least look at a map of it. You are not a child anymore - no excuses.

If you graduated from high school and don't know the location of all 50 states, you should be REALLY EMBARRASSED.

Those of you making excuses for a college student not knowing this information are just as bad.

There is the whole idea that the post is a complete lie. Or the fact that the active just messed up. Or the fact that this is really a minor issue. Yes, people should know basic geography. One clueless of US regions girl does not make or break a chapter AND, if she is really a PNM, she shouldn't be posting that on here. so you should be REALLY EMBARRASSED for continuing on with this. So bye, ALUM or Mom or GDI or whatever troll you are

No one is defending the active. She either misspoke or didn't know. For a pnm to come on here after first day of recruitment and call out an active and house is rude. If an active did the same to a pnm the response would be the same. She also gave far too many details so people know who she is. It reflects poorly on the pnm. There was no need to post this. What was she trying to gain?
