What does it mean if you're introduced to a house's president

Obviously that's a good sign.

In my house, you can only vote on someone if you speak to them. This means if our president/rush chair is introduced to you you are either a top pnm or an "absolutely not" pnm. So you could be a top legacy or you could be one of those girls who posted pics in front of a house before rush and captioned it "future XYZ"

How could that even be true voting is so secret anyway the house doesn't even know

Please dont overthink this stuff. Relax, be present, and be yourself. Trust the process.

Varies!! I know last year at one NR house I talked to an exec the first day, the president on philanthropy and pref, and apparently I was high on their bid list (I'm friends with another active that preffed me.) I ended up in an OR house and I know we have a certain area for "tops," so the president and other important upperclassmen talk to girls in that area. That being said, some of the girls that are in that area are tops but also grade risks, so if the grade risk isn't approved, you could still be dropped.

Presidents are floaters and do not have an assigned girl, so they rotate through and meet lots of girls briefly. They/rush chairs try to meet some legacies but usually can't meet all.
